I know this series is called See This House. Technically, this blog should be titled See This Apartment. Who doesn’t love to look at Parisian apartments? Is it just me? French designer, Dorothée Meilichzon, known for her magnificent hotel designs, shared a tour of her 2,400 square foot Parisian apartment. There are so many blends of vibrant colors, textures, and furnishings that make this tour a must-see. She’s a master of combining Parisian elegance with art deco designs. This French Art Deco apartment is truly every interior design enthusiast’s dream. Meilichzon purchased this apartment back in 2020. She rearranged the sizes of rooms to design a liveable layout for her growing family. Take a look inside this uniquely beautiful Parisian apartment.

Art Deco Dining Room
Each room in the French Art Deco apartment has its own story. The dining room has high ceilings and a stunning parquet floor. Meilichzon mixes and matches vintage, modern, and custom furniture. The chairs are made by Neri & Hu. The seats are old wood and covered in fabric by Pierre Frey.
A pop of color is always a refreshing surprise. The 19th-century apartment features Meilichzon’s unique personal style. The kitchen incorporates modern details like the stainless-steel kitchen island. One of my favorite touches is the bright arch doorway leading to the bedroom. Her signature is utilizing arches in her interior design projects.
Those who have been following me for years know I love stained glass windows. This window is original to the apartment. In fact, while I was researching this apartment I discovered the windows are over 175 years old. I love the charm.
About Dorothée Meilichzon
Dorothée Meilichzon was only 27 years old when she opened her own studio, Chzon, in Paris in 2009. She specialized in hotel design. Meilichzon designed many hotels in Paris including Hôtel Paradis, Grand Pigalle Hotel, and Hôtel des Grands Boulevards. She has even designed hotels in Italy and London too. Her design aesthetic is combing influencers from French heritage and French art deco to create unique cinematic spaces.
