3 Restaurants in Lisbon I Want To Eat At During My Next Visit

June 21, 2023 Coco Admin Alt

Exploring Lisbon’s culinary delights is an adventure in itself. The vibrant dining scene caters to every palate. While I did not get the opportunity to physically sample these three extraordinary restaurants in Lisbon, their reputations and appeal grabbed my interest. Hopefully, when I go to Lisbon again I’ll be able to go.

Join me on a virtual tour of Lisbon’s trending restaurants. Despite never having set foot in these places (I actually did take a photo inside one) their intriguing menus, one-of-a-kind ambiance, and delectable cuisines promise an amazing dining experience.

JNčQUOI Asia

Food Style: Asian Fusion

If you’re craving Asian food while in Lisbon, then you need to visit JNčQUOI. It’s a fusion of Asian and Portuguese cuisine.

Lázaro Rosa Violán is the interior designer behind the restaurant’s lavish design. There are three unique dining areas: a restaurant, a terrace, and a bar. Their terrace is a great option if you want to spend the night outdoors, enjoying the Lisbon breeze. Grab a delicious cocktail and you’re set. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the restaurant was the giant dragon skeleton hanging from the ceiling. According to Chinese culture, the dragon represents enormous power, good luck, and strength.

Yelp’s Recommended Dishes: Tandoori Chicken, Nasi Goreng Rice, & Nagitoro (Tuna Tartare)

The restaurant is open from noon to midnight Monday through Sunday, except for the Ganda Bar, which is open from noon to 2 a.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

For a special culinary adventure, wine and dine at Belcanto. The restaurant has two Michelin stars and is ranked 46th on the list of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.” Discover delicious Portuguese cuisine in an elegant restaurant inspired by the romanticism of old Chiado. The restaurant also has an extraordinary wine cellar that showcases some of the best Portuguese wines!

Restaurante Laurentina

Food Style: Portuegese

If you’re looking for authentic restaurants in Lisbon, then make sure to visit Restaurant Laurentina. Restaurante Laurentina is a family-owned business known for having the best cod in Lisbon. The restaurant has been curating rustic and authentic dishes of traditional Portuguese cuisine since 1976. Laurentina’s decor is romantic with a modern and traditional style. The prices are incredibly reasonable.

Yelp’s Recommended Dished: Salted Cod (prepared 15 different ways) & Octopus Salad

What Are The Most Popular Dishes to Get In Portugal?

If there is one Portuguese food to get in Portugal, it is bacalhau also known as codfish. Each region has its own style of bacalhau. The Bacalhau à Bràs, flaked fish with scrambled eggs, potatoes, parsley, and black olives, is the most popular in Lisbon.

What To Eat For Lunch & Dinner in Portugal?

Locals spend the majority of their day at work, so there aren’t many options for lunch. Most bring their own food or take advantage of Lisbon’s cheap eats. Lisbon’s cheap eats include deals such as soup, a main course, dessert, and coffee. Petiscos, little meals suited for sharing with guests, are the focus of supper. Another fan-favorite dish to indulge in while in Portugal is Salada de polvo (octopus salad) and pica-pau (small beef chunks).
